Mr. Prabhakar Kalavacherla

Prabhakar Kalavacherla brings over 35 years of global experience across audit, risk management, financial reporting, and governance. He holds a Masters degree in Accounting from the California State University. He is also a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Public Accountant. He is the first professional from India to have served on the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), where he played a pivotal role in shaping key global accounting standards, including IFRS 15 as well as standards governing financial instruments, leases, and consolidation. During his distinguished career at KPMG, Mr. Kalavacherla held senior global leadership roles, overseeing audit quality, risk, and independence frameworks across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
