  • Embassy Office Parks in association with The Ugly Indians initiates a clean and green drive with more than 15 corporate occupiers across its business parks
  • More than 500 techies from Embassy Manyata Business Park, Embassy GolfLinks and Embassy TechVillage along with Embassy Group employees participated in the initiative

Bangalore, 6th June 2017– Marking World Environment Day, around 500 techies working across Embassy Office Parks participated in a neighborhood clean and green drive. The initiative was led by Embassy Office Parks in association with The Ugly Indians, a group of motivated anonymous volunteers who clean streets and turn ugly spots in the city into more beautiful ones through a unique method called “SpotFixing”. Embassy engaged with its corporate occupiers to bring about a positive change around the Parks, harnessing individual actions for the collective good of not just the Park Users but also the neighbourhood.
Employees from various companies at Embassy Manyata Business Park took part in landscaping of the area around the Nagawara flyover and planted saplings. They also painted walls of the service road near the office park, and planted trees. Similar activities were carried out in areas surrounding Embassy GolfLinks and Embassy TechVillage.
Commenting on the initiative, Mike Holland, CEO, Embassy Office Parks said, “We are glad to initiate such activities on World Environment Day. Our association with The Ugly Indians and occupiers within our Office Parks in the clean and green drive helps us raise awareness, engagement and action to enhance our physical environment in our communities. This year’s Environment Day has thematic events such as ‘Connecting People to Nature’ that enables us to partner together and do our bit to raise environmental awareness and enhance the green ecosystem around us.”
The Embassy Group has been actively organising many such initiatives for occupiers of its office parks around Bangalore, which enable these partner companies to fulfill their responsibilities towards the environment by taking part in these transformative community initiatives.
